Coverage

Marsh country, covered by its own.

The department works out of a single station in Grand Marsh, in the Town of New Chester, Adams County, central Wisconsin.

Grand Marsh sits in the lake-and-wetland country of Adams County, where rural roads, farmland, woods, and open marsh spread out between small communities. It is the kind of place where a fast local response matters most, because the next-nearest department can be a long way off.

Nineteen volunteers hold that line for the Town of New Chester: training, maintaining the apparatus, and standing ready for fire and emergency calls across the area. This concept page is built to help more neighbors find them, and to make the ask to join as clear as possible.
